What it does
Three things, each tuned until it stopped getting in the way.
A real trackpad
Relative pointer movement with server-side acceleration, so it feels the same regardless of your device. Tap, drag, two-finger scroll and right-click, three-finger swipes for Spaces, Mission Control and App Exposé, four-finger tap for the app switcher.
Live screen mirroring
Your Mac's display at up to 60 fps, with system audio streamed alongside it. Touch the mirrored screen directly, or switch to mouse mode for pixel-precise control. Zoom and pan locally without touching the Mac.
A full keyboard
The native iOS keyboard with autocorrect and dictation, or a MacBook-style layout with sticky Command, Option, Control and Shift. F1–F12 map to real brightness, media and volume keys.
Latency you don't notice
Frames are dropped rather than queued, so the picture stays live instead of drifting seconds behind. Bitrate adapts to congestion and recovers on its own, and a colour-coded badge shows the real round-trip time.

Apple's own frameworks, end to end. No Electron, no third-party SDKs.

Hardware HEVC and H.264 encode on the Mac, hardware decode on iOS.

Zero-configuration discovery — your Mac simply appears on the device.

HKDF-SHA256 pairing proofs and a pinned self-signed certificate.

What is collected
Nothing. Control Pro collects no personal information, no analytics, no usage data and no identifiers. There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no third-party SDKs.
How your data moves
- The Mac app and the iOS app talk directly to each other over your local network. Screen video, audio, keyboard input, pointer input and optional clipboard text travel only between your own devices.
- Your screen is captured only while a session is running, and is never written to disk or recorded.
- All connections are encrypted with TLS. Pairing requires a one-time code shown on your Mac.
- Nothing is sent to us or to any third party. There are no servers, and the apps make no internet connections.
- Clipboard sync is off by default and only shares text between your own devices while enabled.
Permissions requested
- Local network — to find and connect to your own devices.
- Screen Recording — required by macOS before any app can capture the display.
- Accessibility — to move the pointer and type on your behalf. Never used to read other apps.
What is stored on your devices
The controller keeps a resume token and the Mac's certificate fingerprint in the device Keychain so it can reconnect without a code for 24 hours. The Mac stores only a hash of that token. Both are cleared by Forget Saved Trust, and neither leaves your devices.
Children's privacy
Control Pro collects no data from anyone, including children.

Licence
Control Pro is dual-licensed under the Apache License 2.0 and the MIT License. You may use, modify and distribute it under either licence, at your option.
Intended use
Control Pro is for controlling a Mac you own, or one you have explicit permission from the owner to control. You must not use it to access or monitor any device without authorisation, and you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where you use it.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your pairing code private. Anyone who enters it on your local network can control your Mac until the pairing expires.
- Use it on networks you trust, and use Forget Saved Trust to revoke a device you no longer want connecting.
- Screen Recording and Accessibility let a paired device see your screen and act as your mouse and keyboard. Grant them only if that is what you intend.
No warranty
The apps are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Streaming performance depends on your own network and hardware, and no particular latency or quality level is warranted.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the apps. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or affects a consumer's statutory rights.
Getting started
Install in under a minute
- Download the disk image and drag Control Pro into Applications.
- Open it and grant Screen Recording and Accessibility when macOS asks.
- Open the app on your iPhone or iPad, on the same Wi-Fi, and enter the code shown on your Mac.
