3D Capture Pro Studio
The Mac companion for 3D Capture Pro
Builds 3D models on your Mac from the photos you take with 3D Capture Pro on your iPhone or iPad. Your photos travel only over your own Wi-Fi, encrypted, and the model comes back to your phone. Nothing goes to the internet.

How it works
Four steps from photos to a 3D model.
Install Studio
Download the disk image, drag 3D Capture Pro Studio into Applications and open it. It is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. macOS may still ask you to confirm the first time you open it, and to allow network access.
Pair your iPhone or iPad
Studio shows a QR code, a six digit code and a fingerprint. In 3D Capture Pro, tap the connection card and scan the code. The link between your devices is encrypted, and your phone only talks to this Mac.
Capture on your phone
Walk slowly around an object and take 40 to 100 photos. AR Guided mode shows you which angles are still missing. Tap Done, then Build 3D Model on Mac.
Studio builds the model
Studio uses Apple's Object Capture on your Mac. It takes a few minutes, and the finished model comes back to your phone by itself. You can also use Import Photos in Studio to build from a folder of photos already on your Mac.
Privacy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
What is collected
Nothing. 3D Capture Pro Studio has no accounts, advertising or analytics, and it never sends your photos or models to the developer. It has no network connection to any server of ours.
How your data moves
- Photos travel directly from your phone to this Mac over your own Wi-Fi, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The phone remembers this Mac's fingerprint and refuses another computer using the same name.
- Photos, working files and finished models are kept in the Studio folder of your own Mac account. Delete a job in Studio to remove it.
- When you download this app, this website's hosting provider receives the usual connection details of the request, such as the IP address. Studio itself never contacts this website.
Permissions requested
- Incoming connections on your network: so your phone can send photos to this Mac. macOS may ask once.
- Folders you choose: when you import photos or save a model.
The full policy for Studio is on the Privacy Policy page.
